HOW WE PREPARED THIS HOME FOR SALE
I want to mention a few things about this property as it pertains to the services we provide: First, we helped with the selection and management of all remodeling prior to listing. This home got all new flooring, quartz countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, popcorn ceilings scraped, and fresh paint throughout (including the kitchen cabinets).
And then we had it staged! In a previous blog, I mentioned the importance of staging. It really helps buyers envision their life in your home.
STAGED HOMES SELL FOR MORE
In staged homes, buyers tend to linger for longer. A professional stager knows how to make a room feel bigger and more inviting. If the home has no furniture, the buyer may take one look at the bedrooms and think “too small”. But a stager will arrange furniture in a way that flatters the room. The buyer will be able to see potential and possibilities.
Staging is especially helpful for a home that is outdated. With some modern furniture and decor, a buyer can really see the potential of an older, outdated home, that they may have passed on otherwise.
As I’ve mentioned before, homes that are staged sell for up to 5% more money, and sell much faster, according to a National Association of REALTORS® study in 2021.
